Crossing Borders/Breaking Boundaries

Crossing Borders/Breaking Boundaries is a nine-day residential summer institute for Maryland teachers that features lecture/discussion sessions, hands-on performance classes, museum visits to Washington, DC, and collaborative lesson-planning workshops. The topic of the 2008 program is "The Arts of India, 1556-1668," and it will be offered from June 23 - July 1, 2008, at the Inn & Conference Center, University of Maryland University College. The Institute is FREE for Maryland public school teachers. Participants who complete the entire program (including follow-up sessions during the school year) will be eligible to receive 5 MSDE Professional Development credits or, with fees, 3 graduate credits from the University of Maryland.
