THE
ARTS INTEGRATION INSTITUTE AT TOWSON UNIVERSITY
The Arts Integration Institute at Towson University
assists Maryland K-12 educators in facilitating
student growth and development through the arts.
The Institute, working in close cooperation with
the Maryland State Department of Education, provides
timely, progressive educational courses and workshops
in response to the needs of practicing educators.
The Institute's interdisciplinary courses combine
teaching methodology and arts experiences. Courses
may be taken as a part of continuing education,
certification, graduate degree or in-service programs.
The Institute's courses and workshops use a variety
of formats and are designed to be flexible enough
to support the needs of individual teachers working
with varied age groups. Current course offerings
include:
- IDFA 601: Enhancing Reading through the Arts (3)
- IDFA 602: Arts Across the Curriculum (3)
- IDFA 603: Drama in the classroom (3)
- IDFA 604: Social Studies and the Integration of
the Arts (3)
