AEMS Alliance convenes task forces of arts education stakeholders to develop strategies around key issues. These Task Forces include the Higher Education in the Arts Task Force (HEAT Force), which addresses teacher training and preparation; the Principals Task Force, which provides guidance on effective arts education programs to local school administrators; the Presidents Advisory Council, which reviews HEAT Force research and recommendations, offers guidance and support for the implementation of promising new initiatives; and the AEMS Steering Committee, which is responsible for supporting general operating policy, procedures, and related matters affecting the organization as a whole.
