ARTS EDUCATION COMMUNITY MEETINGS & TOWNHALLS
AEMS hosts community meetings and townhall session for arts educators and the arts education ecosystem to gather information and discover advocacy efforts statewide.

Arts Education Symposium on Anti-Racism
Since November, 2020 AEMS has held an annual symposium on anti-racism and abolitionist teaching in arts education. With a nationally-prominent keynote speaker and specialist facilitators drawn from the local arts education ecosystem, this event provides arts educators with the opportunity to learn and to hold space for brave conversations around anti-racism in arts education, both on a structural level as well as on the classroom level.
